The Rift Valley Institute (RVI) and the Regional Durable Solutions Secretariat (ReDSS) are very pleased to invite you to a half-day learning event on ‘Drought and displacement in Somalia: how to better use displacement data to inform drought management and response?’ on Thursday 20th April from 9am to 1pm at RVI in Kileleshwa.

The learning event will have 2 panels:

·Panel 1: Use of displacement related data to inform better drought response

·Panel 2: Prevention and management of drought-induced displacement in the search for durable solutions

To register please confirm your availability to Shezane Kirubi (s.kirubi@drceay.org) and Amina Abdulkadir amina.abdulkadir@riftvalley.net.

This is the first of a series of quarterly learning events that we will organize on displacement and solutions in the region. The objective is to bring together a wide range of actors to discuss how to better use displacement related data to inform drought management and response. The next one in June will focus on self-reliance in the region.
