This workshop is organized by Refugee Point and Women's Refugee Commision. It aims to foster a common understanding of the significance of measuring self-reliance of refugees – that it makes sense to measure ‘self-reliance and well-being’ as a way to promote this outcome and the programmatic designs that facilitate this outcome. The workshop will also aim for participants to:
Gain agreement on principles of ‘self-reliance and well-being’ programs, to ensure that any indicators we agree on are consistent with those principles.
Develop (or make significant progress towards developing) a common set of core indicators that could be adapted to local use and that we could move forward with piloting in a few locations.
Identify programmatic implications of these indicators and opportunities to scale.
